Kwini's LIV5 Concert Experience

Lol i just read my last post and i realized that my grammar there was a disaster lol anyways, today was our thesis proposal defense and I think it went okay. There are minor revisions needed but I think we can handle it. Putting that thing aside, last night was so unforgettable.

February 16, 2012 - The first ever concert of int'l bands that i have witnessed. ASDFGHJKL! I still can't get over it. I'm still stoked, that was the sickest show ever. So if you feel like hearing a fan girl's story, continue reading.

So I went to the concert with my friend Jhen, I told my homies that I have a class and I'll go home late because we'll be preparing for our thesis defense.I know I lied but I regretted nothing lol. I really don't know how to get to Alabang Town Center but I once asked one of my classmates about it so yeah, we successfully made it there and it was only 1pm, if I'm not mistaken. We immediately looked for the ticket redemption booth and luckily, after circling around the mall, we finally found it. We were so happy and excited to have the ticket. The concert will start 5pm and we were too early. So we spent an hour at Burger King and filled our tummies. It's still early so we decided to take a stroll in the mall. After that, we planned to look for the concert venue and then we found out that the bands were already there for the sound check. The rain suddenly poured when we're about to go near the stage. When then rain had stopped, we went to the concert place and we saw Jess Bowen the pretty and awesome drummer of The Summer Set near the VIP entrance. After looking at Jess and pretending to be VIPs lol we found ourselves in the audience's entrance lane. It's still early but we stayed there so we'll be in front.
We waited there for like two and a half hours while watching some of the band's sound check. I also got a chance to buy a souvenir item, a "The Summer Set" baller band, the girl doesn't have "The Ready Set" baller available so yeah.

Fast forward - So we entered the gate at 4:30 pm. A+ Dropouts started the show. I'm also rooting for these kids. Cheska the vocalist, who is a Filipina is awesome. She's kind too, she always reply to my facebook messages and tweets. Since the time i found out that they'll be playing here, i researched about them and i liked them. I only know one of there song but I really enjoyed their performance.

The Summer Set is the second band that performed. I have there videos on youtube and "Chelsea" was the only song that I can remember. The vocalist, Brian Logan Dales sounded good. I never thought that he is actually good because his voice is kinda different. Nevertheless, their drummer Jess was amazing. I liked her, she's really pretty too.

And here comes The Ready Set, the band that I've been waiting for. OMG! Jordan Witzigreuter was so hot, awesome, cute, amazing and everything lol I love him so much! By the time he appeared on the stage, I wasn't able to control myself. The calm and relaxed Kwini turned to a super fan girl screaming, jumping and singing with all her heart's content lol Since no one knows us there, we tripped like there's no tomorrow. So they played 6 songs and as far as I can remember, some of these are: Spinnin', More Than Alive, Stays Four The Same, Hollywood Dream and Love Like Woe. Love Like Woe was the last song and I was so stoked seeing and hearing people singing my favorite song.Ooh..goosebumps. It was simply amazing and I can't express how much i love Jordan now. Awww...

After Jordan's performance we decided to go home but before that, buy a shirt or any the ready set souvenir. So we went to the VIP entrance coz we were informed that they are selling merchs there. The problem is, they will only let us enter after the show. That's the biggest problem coz our parents have no idea on where we are. Jhen's phone ran out of batt and I don't have a cellphone. We can't do anything so we went back to the audience's area and watched the last two band. Knowing that we'll be troubled at home, we just enjoyed the show. We clap, jump, shout though we don't know the songs. The last two bands were surprisingly great, i don't know them but after watching them live, i feel like downloading some of their songs. A Rocket to the Moon played good music while Forever the Sickest Kids proved that they really were the sickest! The vocalist Jonathan Cook allowed the kids at the back to jump at the barricades so they can watch them closer. Bad ass dude but they totally rocked it. So yeah before their performance ended, we went to the VIP entrance so we can immediately go inside by the time the gate opens. After waiting, we successfully made it through. I bought a shirt and Jhen bought a baller. Aye! So we were in a great hurry. After a long journey, we made it home safely. Thank God. My mom won't talk to me and I knew that they were worried sick. I also found out that some of my classmates were troubled and I am so sorry.

Everything is fine now, i guess. One of the best days of my life. I am so blessed. Though I am broke right now, i regret nothing. :)
